I thought they already had a Far Cry 2 out for XBox called "Instinct"...or maybe it was just a small expansion to the story.
That's great to hear, because Far Cry is one of my favorite games to play. I wish more people would play the original online. On the Monkey Bay map, I like to hide in the trees halfway up a mountain and snipe people across the water. It's fun when you get a bunch of people hiding and sniping. It's like a deadly game of hide and seek.
Far Cry 2 is being developed by different people. Far Cry was developed by Crytek and published by Ubisoft, but this time Ubi is going it alone. They created their own in-house dev team to make Far Cry 2. Crytek is, of course, making Crysis now.
Far Cry 2 looks a bit more interesting than Far Cry, and that's a good thing. Because while Far Cry looked amazing, and had pretty good physics and AI: the game story was boring. I quit playing it halfway through.
Far Cry Instincts was a cut-down version of Far Cry, simplified for the Xbox. There were also Far Cry Evolution and Far Cry Predator for the Xbox and Xbox 360. Talk about milking a game to death. They were all inferior to the original, anyway.
It's not warez or anything...it is supported by in-game ads, so feel no guilt about grabbing it off the site. All you need is a U.S. Ubisoft account (don't know if it works for Canadian residents, though).
in-game ads. hmmm...so your in the jungle blowing the hell out of the enemy when all of a sudden it freezes and you see a giant Gatorade Logo! Then you hear "That Frag brought to you by Gatorade! Quench your thirst....or die!"
Or did they change everyone clothes to show the Nike swoosh or FUBU logo?

The last game I downloaded was supported by in-game ads, and in between rounds there would be a logo on the load screen. It's probably something like that. The playable parts of the game aren't affected by the advertising (that I know of).
