Might be sensible to put my current map progress here as well.
update: gents, may the force(field) be with you... (a bit in legacy style).
The extra glow was tricky, at least decals came in use.

If you're willing to uninstall the ATI drivers again, try using
Driver Sweeper and then re-install. That might do the trick.
I would recommend giving
RadeonPro a try as well to give you extra control over AA options and such, but the author of the utility somehow broke compatibility with Tron 2.0 in the currently available version. I hope he fixes it soon.

Well, there are just two probs: i work with a laptop, which is quite old
and without a job (my last company where i was employed went insolvent... another one, geez), no money, without money no option to buy a card. Otherwise i would, you can bet. I'm loosing the thread more and more, especially if i want to program a self designed 3D-engine. I'm even not able to play games like UT3, Bioshock and lots more, as my laptop doesn't support shader of version 1.3 .

I tried the deinstaller, thanks for that suggestion. Anyway it seems that Vista again came into my path. For some (odd) reasons, Vista wasn't cappable to deal with 'program files' and 'programme' (german version of program files), although it should as it creates softlinks to one central folder. After i re-installed everything in a custom folder, it worked, so i'm on the road again. Btw.: Vista sux; no new info, i know.

Update
Platforms, deletable. Was a bit tricky to get a shiny glass like they did in Legacy, still not exactly what i want, but the right direction.

Update
Ok, this will be the
largest map i ever made so far, already now. And it should be extended if pps like it, will be a tough job for the occluders and workarounds. But right now the whole thing has 'only' >17000 polies, so there is some more 'room'.
And an important question to
everyone (and please be honest and direct): In screenshot #7,#8 and #9 i placed a LDSO logo and symbol, which you might know already (as i made them long time ago and posted screens here).
Question: has anyone a problem if i use these, or has anyone the opinion the logo of our page should be used. Understand me right, it is not my intention to 'force' that we use that logo i created, the one of the page is great, but just a different style; and a sort of symbol doesn't exists so far.
If i use this logo/symbol and this map is released, pps will related this to our clan and vice versa. So i want to be sure anyone is ok with that, otherwise please tell me.

Looks beautiful. And I certainly don't have any reservations about the logo.

Morning chaps
Looks really nice - and no problems from me with the logo. On that thought - might it be worth branding all of the newer maps (the purple box stuff, at least) with that logo? waddaya think?

i can offer it in various format (TGA, PSD, CPT, etc.), also as brush-construct for dedit, so if someone wants to use it, i can surely create a prefab to share. But as said, this needs a 'pro' from everyone.

Update
I set the first sensible jumppads, i think this could be fun. The following three pics illustrate how it can be:
(A) the way we want to go (jump)
(B) jumping from one platform to the next... aaaand next
(C) reached the other side
(A)
(B) (you might want to open this image in a new tab, as it is cropped)
(C)
P.S.: Well... you know... just for the fun tho

Update
Area 3 is nearly final (5 areas planned, 2 will be build for the release, rest might follow if pps have interest in the map).
Added several gameplay elements, all so far working well. Textures are ugly and not optimized, same for the geometry, but slowly it gets a good style.
Available gameplay elements:
Barricades: can be found here and there, static, when activated they create are barricade for x secs. Will be useful for something special i have planned.
Leappads: already shown, run on them, jump, make a great leap
Boostpads: will push you up, ideal to reach platforms above you
Runpads: can be found at walls here and there, jump towards them, run, jump off to get to another platform or whatever
Interactive/Destroyable environment:
And a few impressions about the current map:

Looks great. Really impressive how fast you've flushed out such an interesting map.

I just wanted to mention how anti-aliasing was recently broken for me as well, but for a different reason.
I decided to get around to updating my ATI drivers, as they were out of date. So I updated to the latest 10.9 Catalyst drivers. I was dumbfounded to find that anti-aliasing no longer worked after updating. I tried endlessly messing around with settings, but nothing helped.
Then I tried taking one step back to the 10.8 drivers. Same problem.
Finally, I decided to go back to the 10.4 Catalyst drivers, which is widely considered one of the best of the more recent releases. Both in terms of bug fixes and performance. Once I went back to 10.4, anti-aliasing was working again.
It looks like ATI has broken anti-aliasing for older cards in the latest drivers. (I've got a Radeon 3870.) Just thought I'd give a fair warning to anyone else who has an older ATI card. You will probably want to stay away from the latest Catalyst releases for now.
