That would be a interesting way to play. I guess it'd have to be 3rd person in order to see ball coming?

something similar was done in UT 2004 with the bombing run match, you couldnt see them give you the ball untill it hit you usually, i think this could work with first person.
I will start work on the base map. if it doesnt work, ill just make it into something else

There was a Quake 2 mod that had a football field level that was really fun to play actually. The ball was a bloody head lol. It was in 1st person. I guess something of the sort wouldn't be completely impossible to do in Tron 2.0

if i edit a post in an old thread, will it show up as a new post?

EDIT: new problem can I make a brush that will allow weapon fire through but stop players from moving through?

Nope.

After you bind the brush to a WorldModel, set its SurfaceOverride to Invisible.

As for a place to host your maps, you can use http://myfreefilehosting.com/ as a quick and easy way to make them available for download.

An easier way (and with less cost related to performance and stuff): You can set up a texture using an ID (doubleclick a texture that should be used as 'block user not weapon'). The input 'flags' offers you a choice to enter an ID which you have to take from the ATTRIBUTES/SURFACE.TXT. There are definitions of surface and their behaviour (like 'block user', 'block weapon', 'which footstep-sounds to play', etc.). Take one that matches your needs.
Pro's about it: You can define a single face of a brush using that textures, the other can stay 'solid'. A model binded brush is completely set to be invisible/solid/whatever. And you have to use less objects in your map. So you have two ways to do it, the choice is yours.

P.S.: The 'ID' i was talking about is, in fact, a masked value. If you plan to define your own surfaces, keep in mind: a) you create a mod and b) you cannot just increase the id of the last. If your not into programming, recommendation is: use what you have and don't touch the SURFACE.TXT.
