Gamespy is down right now

The master server for Tron 2.0 at Gamespy is down right now. You won't be able to find or join any servers for the moment. A number of other games are affected, too. So don't worry, it's not your end. The problem is at Gamespy. I've left a message on their support forum asking them to look into it.
This is like, what? The third time in the last year they've gone down? Their service has become pretty spotty the last couple of years. Lots of downtime, and their server has often been slow to respond when you want to get a list of Tron 2.0 servers.
And I just realized today is the seventh anniversary of the game's release. Great timing on Gamespy's part.

if it does go down forever, is there capability for a forum member to host a tron 2.0 master list server?

If Gamespy ever stopped supporting Tron 2.0 Multiplayer, it would create a real headache. Like it did for AvP2 and NOLF 2 when Vivendi shut down their master servers.
We're lucky Disney decided to let Gamespy handle the master server, or else we would have suffered the same fate as those other games. Disney already shut down their dedicated servers four years ago, and would have done the same for the master server if they ran it.
But I doubt Gamespy will stop supporting Tron 2.0 any time soon. It's trivial for them to support it, because they probably use one or two master servers for all the older games out there. In fact, they're still supporting games almost 15 years old.
If it did ever happen, we'd find some way to keep Multiplayer going.

I have some really bad news about Tron 2.0 Multiplayer. Read the full details on my site.

I just hope they will reenable the support.
What I absolutely not understand is, that really old games using the same engine (e.g. No One Lives Forever) are still running via Gamespy, so they have at least one damn old machine for old games running. Couldn't be much of a problem to re-enable TRON support for them and I doubt it will be cost-intensive.
In the meantime, I got a whacky solution for you: I hacked together a simple form to add a server to my existing serverlist on hirnschwund.net. You can enter your TRON server there (use gamespy2 as the type) and it will be listed on the main page next to the two servers I am running on my machine.
As soon as your IP changes they will be gone, though...so it's not a real replacement.

This is not good. It may sound silly, but it would be nice to organize a protest in front of the Glu Mobile headquarters. I'll protest naked if I have to

No one there would be alive to restart the servers after that.
