TronLink server is now up, and will be running 24/7, 365 at least until the new game arrives!

Download TronLink from here http://www.filefront.com/14939751/Tronl ... 20B%29.exe

You will need Tron 2.0 installed to use TronLink. I encourage all of you who still play Tron 2.0 to use this great program written by Daddyo to keep in touch with one another and make finding online matches easier.

Optional rant pack is here: http://www.filefront.com/user/DaddyoTron

Main website is here: http://www.tronlink.net

You can still chat to other people on tronlink (right click on their name) but the inactive 'global chat' is rumored to return someday

Tronlink's server is kaput. They got transferred to another company and wont give me a dedicated IP or open port anymore. You can still use it to find games though.

I'm looking for a server that'll run perl script for it. No net bandwidth needed (you could count the bytes used on your toes).

Hmmm... if it would be possible in theory to run this on a server attached to say a no-ip DNS, and the server itself has an IP that changes very seldomly, I may can be of assistance.

We can try your no-ip to see if it works if you are interested in being the server. It looks like it might. Do you have perl installed? That or you can run a windows program to be a server. If you have a domain name and want to try, PM me with it and we can figure it out further.

BTW tronlink.net will be around for a while in case anyone has a use for it.

I'm in the process of building a dedicated Linux server at home on my cable Internet connection that runs my Ultima Online server (Only has 1-4 active accounts lol, still in process of building the world and it will take another year or 2 to complete) @ retroshard.no-ip.org so I would like to finish that up so that we will have a server that's always on. I estimate shortly after Christmas I should have this server built ::::)

In the meantime however, if you like we can try the windows program you mentioned on my gaming machine that's on most of the time just to make sure the no-ip scheme works.

TronLink server is back online! A big thanks to its creator, Daddyo for working with me to get this going again for everyone.

So, anyone who plays Tron multiplayer from time to time can download TronLink here:

http://www.filefront.com/14939751/Tronl ... 20B%29.exe

and load it up to keep up with us all! It barely uses any system resources at all. I hope to see some of you there and in-game soon!

Note: The server is running on my "gaming PC" at this time so it MAY be off/on a bit for the next week. However it should be hosted on a dedicated server on the same network soon after that, and you will not need to make any changes on your end.
