Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
We'll here's hope for a big fat patch to fix up the gameplay. Sounds like they could do alot with a month or so of effort. I suppose it wouldn't be too likely given that the main market may be consoles on CD/DVD's. I'd imagine that once a series a bad reviews gets out, it's unlikely that there'd be enough backing interest to save it.
Maybe I'll wait a while before getting it on the WII.

Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
Added two more reviews. The review from TheFrag didn't assign any score, so it wasn't counted in the average. Since it was a reasonably favorable review, I'd say the score would have been a 7 if one was given.

Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
Two more reviews. The Metro UK review dragged the score down a bit again.

Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
For some reason, the Metro UK review has been taken down. Dammit, wish I'd taken a screenshot. Disney Interactive panicking, perchance?
There's still an entry for it on the Mirror UK site, with the subheading "Tron Evolution is derezzed".

I've taken screenshots of all the remaining negative reviews, in case Disney tries to bully those sites into taking their reviews down.

That site also has an article about a workout inspired by Tron: Evolution.

Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
Added four more reviews, including one from The Wild Bore which has both serious (text) and not so serious (video) review components. The video part of the review has an offbeat sense of humor that might be difficult to appreciate.
Also, the Metro UK review is back online. I think this one is probably the best read of all the reviews so far. The reviewer clearly knows about Tron and its history.

Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
Well based on the reviews I read so far, it's seems like we should still be in the business of modding for TRON. Lots of room for improvements if they ever release tools for Evolution, otherwise keep working on TRON 2.0.

Re: Early TRON Evolution reviews
My thoughts too on the game.
Is many critic the controls.
This is the one thing I will agree over.
The console controls were tough to get used to and made running around a pain.
This is an area where the PC version might excel.
Kinda hard to nerf up wasd spacebar,
But we shall see.

Re: TRON Evolution reviews
Afternoon chaps
Still no sign of the PC version being available here. Amazon.co.uk still gives no delivery date, and all the other main players still only list teh console-toy versions. Even the official Disney pages says "come back later".
Gits.

Re: TRON Evolution reviews
Two more. The reviews just keep coming.
Win3K, I ended up ordering Evolution from Amazon.com in the U.S. I checked the web sites of the usual places in Canada, and they all had the 360/PS3 versions but no PC listed. Some didn't even list the Wii version. The only place listing PC online was - shudder - Gamestop.ca.
Now it's possible they're carrying them in the stores anyway and just didn't list them online. But rather than chase around looking for it, I went with Amazon. I already had a $10 credit with them, so shipping ended up being free. The Canadian and U.S. dollar are at par right now, so I then ended up paying the price listed. It was $30 at Amazon. They also have a promotion where you get a $10 credit toward a future purchase.
All of that added together made it cheaper for me to buy it in the U.S., rather than locally. Which is insane, really.
So you had no luck at places like Zavvi and Play, either? Hmm . . . I just took a look and it seems that Amazon UK is the only one offering a physical retail copy for sale. Others want to sell it to you as a download.
