I got vice squad. How many times did you guys register??
You think this is just for fun, or part of something else that has to be figured out - like the magnetic strip on the back with tiny symbols on it?

!! I was just reading this thread again, and remembered a card-looking thing in my mailbox I saw coming in this afternoon from work. So I ran outside to the mailbox... and sure enough, there's the Astro Gunner card for me as well!
I notice the dots in the strip as well.. neat.

Did your's give you $100 also when you slide the card through an ATM machine?

There is an orange UV Dot Pattern on the front face of the card also. I don't think this is from the P.O. as other people have thought. I have a lot postcards here at the house and none of them have something similar. Plus the postal code routing stripes are already on the back of the post card.... hmmm

I happen to open the mail at my work,
Many different standard letters have the orange bars postmarked on them, so I think the orange bars are just postal markings, possible a bulk mail thing. Meant to take a picture for comparison will do so next week if possible.
Have 4 different people signed up at my home, hence the 4 post cards.
The unfiction forums have been all over the bar code dots.
Despite all their efforts, Im not certain that overlaying the dots is the answer.
Hmm, only 100 bucks for you Daddyo, When I put mine in the ATM it spit out 1000, oh well. . .

Haven't gotten any postcard yet. Not sure if you need to have earned a certain number of "achievements" or not, in order to get one.
I'm guessing no, and it's only a matter of time before one shows up in the mailbox.
I probably missed out on the 89 stickers and Recognizer pin, though. I don't think they're sending those out any more.

I think the codes are for Northing and Easting/Westing for Flynn's Arcade in San Diego. It maybe reopened for SDCC 2010.
I posted my theory on unfiction, we'll see what they think soon enough
The count on the pixel dots so far is 32, 31, 21, 19
THe latitude and longitude for the orginal Flynn's Arcade was:
Latitude 32°42'31.60"N
Longitude 117° 9'32.54"W
Some of the numbers are matching. Maybe more postcards are still to be mailed out to complete the coordinates...

Think your right on the money there Zook.
Also think that more info will be provided for the clues in the next 2 weeks.
Whos not to say that you will need these post cards for the SDCC events?
The Unfictionist peeps just seem to be over thinking it if you ask me.

Maybe it's all for fun for collectors. It hard to know if you overthink these gimmics, because I'm sure we could all make up some really hi-tech puzzles to solve. They've done some crazy stuff before, so anything seems possible.
I'm sure you'll get something Tronfaq, getting mail up to your lattitude takes trains/planes/boats/subs/dogsleds/auto's... I haven't got many of those achievements earned.
