Your kung fu master in the morning says: 'go up there, stay on one foot, do the 'crane' and keep the balance for two hours. otherwise you're not worth to be my scholar!'
In other words: nice view.

That's in return for a tenth dan black belt. To show that you are worthy to be a scholar:

"Climb one third of the distance that the other lunatic just did. Grip the ladder so hard that your knuckles bleed. Try not to cry like a spanked little girl for at least 10 seconds. No, your mummy cannot help you."

Srsly. I rock climb for fun (lots of bouldering, and some single pitch stuff, fact fans), but what these guys do - for a living - I would be incapable of, for any amount of money. Serious props, and much respect to the chaps that keep your mobile phones running.

Those workers have balls of steel. Christ, even if someone offered me a million dollars I wouldn't climb that tower either. Having to climb with no safety line the majority of the way? With only your hands and your sense of balance to keep you from falling? No thanks! :???:

Afternoon chaps

Moving on from the brave and useful to the downright bloody stupid:

I'm torn on how to feel about this trio of muppets. Part of me salutes their sheer ballsiness, but part of me just wants to slap their stupid faces for doing something so irresponsible and dangerous. Imagine being the poor sod that has to clean up the mess left if one of them fell? From that kind of height, you'd splash.

Well! france is the place that invented the sport of free-running///so this is not so surprising though! they should have ran on the cranes arm and did a handstand at the very end! still its a very insane thing to do one freak gust of wind! and they free-fall for a few seconds wishing they should have stayed in bed and not climbed the crane............splat!!!

Evening chaps

Seeing as "WTFOMGBBQ!" seems a popular theme, my final word on the subject, Mr Dan Osmam.

Exhibit A: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX7p3jfr ... re=related

For you ground huggers, Mr Osman (RIP, and godspeed) is a legend amongst climbers. His particular thing was free climbing (see exhibit A above). Free climbing is climbing sans safety equipment (so no ropes, harnesses, or any of that). As if that wasn't enough Dan added speed to the mix. Because gravity isn't enough of a bitch, or something.

Just for fun, closely observe around 1:02 and 1:12, in which Mr Osman demonstrates the "dyno" move - dynamic movement in which all contact with the rock face is lost. Then remember that the height at which he does this is pretty well terminal for a fall. Then offer a toast/thankful prayer that this isn't you.

I wonder where his blue/red costume is, do he really think no one would identify him?

No, for sure, one of the greatest 'faked' climbing video. Come on, i know that trick. He is just crawling over the ground, it's the camera angle man! But you must explain me the trick with the environment: do they really plant so many trees horizontally? :?:

Seriously, this guy is/was a freak, but respect. Great climbing-kung-fu.

Those are fine examples of Darwinism at work.

The antenna maintainance guy is missing the basic instinct of skydroppeth flatelatio.
