I don't see any differencies between the early 90s & right now. She always kept her body building for the sake of performances in her tours. For people in my gernation, who wonder now what happend to Madonna, those only knew the songs such Papa don't preach & Like a Prayer. Therefore don't be dissapointed guys if u still have carried a Madonna Look - remebered from the 80s - in ur head while finally releasing how she looks nowadays.
I think this is all a matter of taste allthough i never liked Madonna. I rather would think of the girlie group called Bangles if u ask me what kind of woman i admired when i was a teenager.
