Yay! More computer problems!
Here's what happened:
This morning, I booted up my computer. A window came up that said an Adobe Flash Update was available. I got a window like this a few days ago but clicked the "remind me later" button. So this time, I chose to install it. Then I went online and watched me a few Youtube vids. They worked fine. Then I went up to eat breakfast and then came back to watch some Youtube vids. "You either have Javascript turned off or you need the latest version of Adobe's flash player" replaced the video. I shrugged it off and did other stuff for the rest of the day. Later, I went to IGN and tried to watch one of their video reviews. "You need the latest version of Macromediea's flash player" was replacing the video. I went to the provided link and installed the newest flash player from the Adobe website. I tried again, and the same message was still there on the IGN page and all youtube vids. When I went to the IGN video page, Norton 360 said that a program called "Download.exe" was trying to access the internet. I denied access. Also, I can watch youtube videos that come up in a google video search result by clicking the "watch video here button". Anyone have any idea what's going on?!? :?

So, in the meantime you've shut down or rebooted your computer since installing Flash, and it still doesn't work right? Sometimes after installing a new version of Flash, it takes a reboot to make it work properly.
If it's still not working properly, Adobe provides a Flash uninstaller. You need to make sure the browser isn't running (or anything that uses Flash), before you use it. Let it do its thing, reboot, then go get Flash again.

To tell you the truth, I never did reboot my computer after installing it yesterday. I just rebooted it and it still didn't work right.
Alright, I'll give it a shot. Qix told me over at Tron-Sector that Download.exe is a virus. Yay. Need to get that taken care of first. If it's still not working properly, Adobe provides a Flash uninstaller. There is a trojan called "download.exe", but in this case you probably don't have to worry. Adobe/Macromedia Shockwave uses a component called "download.exe", which is safe.

If you want to be sure, just scan that one file in the "Shockwave 10" folder to see if it's a virus. If there was an active virus on your computer, Norton probably would have already caught it by now anyway. (But it's always still a good idea to do a scan once in a while. It's also good to rely on more than one virus/malware scanning tool.)

Oh, alright. Yeah, Qix scared me a little over at TronSector, lol.tronfaq wrote:There is a trojan called "download.exe", but in this case you probably don't have to worry. Adobe/Macromedia Shockwave uses a component called "download.exe", which is safe.

PS: TronFAQ, I tried commenting on your blog but the comment window said that the page could not be displayed. Then I tried commenting on the Jangaron blog and it worked fine. You may want to look into it.

Okay, I used the program that you provided a link to, TronFAQ, and it said it uninstalled flash player. I then restarted my computer and reinstalled flash. I installed the ActiveX control and a window came up that said there was a problem with my connection. There isn't a problem with my connection, though. I kept clicking try again, and then I finally clicked cancel. Then Internet Explorer said that the site was trying to use an ActiveX control in an unsafe manner.
And I still have the same problems I had before.
-I can watch Youtube videos, but only by clicking "watch video here". If I try watching a Youtube video on it's page, it says I don't have flash.
-The YoYoGames website says that I need flash 9 in order to upload games.
Did I do something wrong during installation?

Based on what little info I have to go on: I'm going to guess that at some point you denied permission to one of the Flash install components, when your firewall popped up a warning. It's remembered this, and it keeps denying Flash the ability to communicate with Adobe's servers, to finish the install.
In whatever firewall you're using, check the rules to see if anything related to Flash is blocked.
What browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Firefox? There's a remote possibility that in the Internet Options for IE, something has become messed up. (But I doubt it.)

Yeah, there's nothing I can do about that. I'm at the mercy of Blogger/Google. But issues like that are usually temporary. I just tried it now, and it's working fine again.PS: TronFAQ, I tried commenting on your blog but the comment window said that the page could not be displayed.
