Router Problems

Okay, my wireless router's been acting VERY wierd lately.
We originally had it as a secured connection named "Gabel". This weekend, that connection dissapeared from our devices and reappeared as some other unsecured connection. We reconfigured it so that it was a secure connection, and got the WEP/WPA key. I entered the WEP/WPA key correctly on our laptop and it didn't immediately work, even after we restarted it. I then tried it on our Wii game system, which accepted the code, but an error message popped up stating that it could not connect to the internet. This is how our internet is set up:
Our cable modem is plugged into the router, and the router is plugged into the PC. The router sends the internet signal wirelessly to other devices, but because of these weird issues, the WEP key on the router has been changed. I believe all I need to know is how to access the WEP key for the router. But keep in mind, the sheet that we printed out with WEP/WPA key, SSID, etc... seems to contain innacurate data. Anyone have any idea what's wrong? If I need to clear something up, please ask.
