Yeah, good point. Of course, nobody has ever complained about the visual theme of the site. Of course, then again, the LDSO site doesn't really have too many TRON based visuals other than the homepage. The majority of the site has more of a "We gave you a forum and you're going to like it!" visual. And I like it!

Why are there Star Wars ones?
Why are there big round regular smileys?

Why?

Because smileys are for fun.
They dont need to make sense.

I liked the smileys ,
So thats why there there.

If your going to start ranting about things like the smileys we have,

Then one could rant back at you and say?

Why do we have any other topics on the forum other than Tron related discussions?

Good point. But if you were to remove all of the non-Tron related topics from this forum, you would have no forum at all.

The only thing keeping this place busy is the insane and inarticulate ramblings of the people that used to play the game a long time ago.

Maybe you guys should change the name to "Tron 2.0 Retirement Home"...then we can talk about playing golf and making sweaters.

What's wrong with ranting anyway? I happen to think that it's a healthy way to get things off your chest and discuss it with your peers. If this topic has broken some kind of rule, then by all means, please delete it. We wouldn't want this place to turn into Boxhat all over again.

Furthermore, I think the fact that people come here to talk about anything is an accomplishment for LDSO. People feel good about coming here and sharing their opinions, ideas, etc. It feels like home to them. These members have bonded past the game itself and have intelligent discussions about different things here because we've all come to know each other outside of the grid...so why punish open discussion by deleting it?

If we were to only talk about Tron 2.0, this board would have been vacant ever since the Killer App mod disappeared and Jademz was asking why...which led to his posts being deleted.

As far as the public end of the forums,
Perhaps they would be vacant.

Never did I state that any of the open threads would be deleated.

If we didnt like them,
They would have all been gone long ago.

The LDSO forums started and remain a place for the LDSO team to come together, work together, and discuss general happenings amongst the team.

So in that respect,
The forums are very much alive and are very active with posts.

The general layout of the forums is a team based theme/look.
So if something interests us we add it, change it, etc.
Be it a color, font, smiley and so on.

We have always been more than happy to allow any and all interested parties to join and share in our forums.

My former post was merly to make a similar point.

It will be back, I can assure you. Instead of doing a quick re-release, we're taking the opportunity to improve it further. Which, naturally, again takes time.

The site and forums have been discussed to receive a new look, but it's hard to get motivated to change it for the handful of people that actually use it.

Anyways, we'll see what the future holds

IMO, I stated what I have(servers), what I want(MOD), then you delete what I have(impatient annoying way of getting a rise from an admin, while asking a good question, since it's a secret..)
