The Space Shuttle Atlantis at dawn before lifting off to repair the hubble space telescope and upgrade it for the last time. Can't wait for the images hubble with return after this upgrade. For the public anyway, hubble is probable the most valued investment by NASA post-apollo program due to the amazing pictures it produced.

I would highly recommend this video, especially in HD. It is a timelapse (yeah I know there are millions of them... ), but is taken overnight somewhere that must have some really bloody dark nights, because the galaxy is seen in all its splendour.
