Keep in mind, this isn't just for Halo fans...it's a statement to Micro$oft to show that us XP/Win2000 users will not be overlooked and taken for granted. They think that just because they dangle a carrot in front of our eyes we'll leap blindly into the unknown for an operating system that is nothing more than a resource hog with a bunch of hype behind it.\
Cool, Jademz.
Cool, Jademz.

Thanks, I appreciate that.Avi wrote:I got a lot of people from other game communities to sign the Tron 2.0 petition a while back

There is a crack that allows Halo 2 to work on XP, but I don't think it means that everyone should automatically then not bother Microsoft about this situation any more. Microsoft should release an official patch that removes the Vista requirement, since Vista was never required in the first place.
But I think Microsoft has learned their lesson. Gears of War was originally going to be Vista only as well, but they backed off and will now release it for XP too. Games for Windows Live is also coming to XP, another previous Vista "exclusive". I don't see MS budging on DX10, though. That's likely to remain Vista only.
