[TRON] Squad Continued...

This is the continuation of our old [TRON] Squad thread that was originally located in a website that used to be about Tron 2.0 (something about hat boxes or something...I forget). Anyway, let's post other games that we are playing right now and we can hook up when we need a break from prankster bit enemas.

Currently, quite a few of us are getting into FEAR Combat. You can download the multiplayer game for free at http://www.joinfear.com if you don't already have it. Layer has been working on FEAR maps lately, and his Arena map is a chaotic frag fest.

Personally, I'm into UT2K4, Far Cry, Halo, Quake 4, and I'd like to find someone that has the game Prey so that I can see what Deathmatch mode is like when you have the ability to walk on the ceiling. No one plays it, and last I checked, there were no servers online. :sad:

Played UT2K4 for a long time, mostly team-based, mostly ONS. Haven't played it for a while now. Beside of that, i own other games like FarCry, Fear, Doom3, Quake4 or prey but never played them online so far (less time).

im huge RTS nut, but i cant find anyone else to play here

. ive just got CS as well. hopefuly my pile of socks and leg warmers manages to run it :lol:

Try washing them now and then to get the bugs out....real bugs, not programming errors.

I have just come across a jewel of gaming...REZ for the Sega Dreamcast (later ported to PS2). It had stylized graphics that represented the digital world inside computers. It was interesting at the time as a shooter because the quicker you shot down enemies..the groovier the music got. It was a cross between TRON 2.0 and some kinda of musical "Beat" game.

That looks pretty cool. I just got finished playing some Darwinia, and the overall look of it is similar to Rez...except it's basically a RTS set in a computer.

yeah i really like the look of both games, especially darwinia. im thinking of upgrading my forgery CS 1.6 to CS:source, grab the pack for BF2 and all of its expansions ('tis a bargain due to BF2142

). all shall be nabbed after i seize a good laptop to play it on

I "disabled" 2142, since punkbuster now can decide what and when to take any info, reguardless of what it has to do w/ your purchase of Battlefield. I heard it was making the game more unplayable than it was before due to PB. So in the can. BTW I did this by getting rid of anything that said PNK in my registry. it took about 20 minutes. The PB services are pnkbstrA and B while you play, but one is always spying on your PC from what I heard recently.

lol. Mr. Anderson has added some interesting links in there, I'm thinking of making some rooms in there to troubleshoot Tron and microsoft, but those links are better!

Tronspeak is almost like a forum w/o the messaging.

yeah you could paste on tronFAQs' mini-FAQ he did on tron-sector. with the relaibility of billpolean gatuses' software are these days, a troubleshoot would be very useful

Has anyone ever had any problem with Battlefield 2142 closing to the desktop while trying to load a map? It seems to happen when it gets to the part where it optimizes the shaders if you changed your video settings or are loading it from a fresh installation. All of my drivers are up to date. This has gone on all week, until last night when I was finally able to load the Camp Gibraltar map and play a round online. When I was finished, I loaded BF Vietnam and in the middle of my 2nd round the game disappeared also. Should I delete the entire EA Games folder and reinstall everything again? I installed BF 2142 3 times this week before I finally got it to load a map. All of my other games run really good...HL2, Far Cry, etc.

Any ideas?

I had to reinstall about 3 times due to that error. The only other option would be to tinker w/ settings, such as changing resolution, or just framerate, just incase.
