Brief preview of new TRON game

I can't really get excited over this, like most people seem to be. It's a split second preview that hardly shows us anything. Not to mention, pre-release hype doesn't work on me any more. I've been disappointed way too many times. Now I wait for the game to be released and read user reviews, not magazine/site reviews which often take payola for high scores.

And there's still no commitment to platforms. No PC version equals no sale here.

eh! it looks like its going to be one of them crappy movie tie in games///thats made in conjunction with a movie release to make a quick buck? not that matters to myself much providing the game runs under the unreal engine though would be nice to have a really sexy next gen tron game on pc!!

I just saw a commercial on Spike TV for the Video Game Awards and they mentioned highlighting 2010's upcoming games. The games they mentioned were Star Wars, Tron, and Halo. That's pretty good company to be included with in a commercial spot. Maybe this is a hopeful sign of them making a decent game. Or, 2010 is going to be so slow that they had to find a third game to mention in the commercial.

The new trailer didn't contain anything from the previous brief one, so the screenshot analysis I did still provides some valuable clues as to what to expect from the game.

Still no mention of what platforms they intend to bring the game to, either. Boo.

Video Game Will Provide One of the Keys to Unlocking TRON Mythology before the Opening of Major 2010 Action Adventure Film – “TRON: Legacy”

TRON: Evolution is an action/adventure game being created for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and Windows PC. I think the term you're looking for is "bullshots".

Yeah, I don't think those are actual in-game shots either. I mean, the game will probably look close to that. But these are carefully prepared renders, likely with a bit of Photoshop magic applied.
