The weekend before the last weekend, i had the honor to meed over 5 players. I forgot most of their nicks as a few names seemed to me new. The famous one i could remember to have played was Crash. We were playing on Mr.Andersons Normal & Extreme circuits. To be honest i wish we would have tried Jademz LC-server as for a better ping codition from my side with under 150. As we all know...Lightycles over 150 turn to a battle u can't win further more to a gamble.
As Crash was in a good mood too we had at least nice jokes & could get along as we should have always in the past too. I guess he too become wise. He also shown me thru all costum maps & we tried to figure to get keys. The actual map roation shown of a few unknown "maybe newer" costum maps which had a noticeable raise of quality (based on the eye-candy). As already told...all up it was a nice chillout with no complications, provocations or any other kind of annoycance. I admit it would have been too perfect if i could have pings such Dutch Kim, Void, Ricoo or Avanze but i don't live on the north side of middle europe & routing means alot for a multiplayer game where ping seems to matter.

The last Monday, on 19.10.2007, i had the honor to meet 5 players & i was surprised that some of them seem to prefer to play under the week instead weekend. However i still hope everyone will soon concentrating on weekends as the most are going to school, university or doing a job under the week. Weekends brings more flexiblity in time. Ricoo was one of the famous players who did a comeback on the gamegrid. We played for hours Disc Arena. A mysterios guy named Gravitytron crashed down first an american server DA-server (forgot if it was on of Jademz or Andersons Server) then he "the brave heart" followed me to europe-server hosted by the symphatic holland guy Void "Ent12". Then a little bit later Ricoo joined us & surprised me with a extrem improved footwork plus enhanced precision of aim. Never he ever played that well. He felt to me like having Xistence as opponent.
Gravitytron did well too but struggled & reminded me when i was visiting regulary the former Bvg servers back in time. First he played like a noob then he turned out to be on of the DA-experts. :? I mean i don't care when people need to change nicks to have lesser presure but it's childish, isn't ? Of course i have the one or other guess but as i prefer activating alot of programms intstead to carry on any torrent of hatred i won't give any hints in this matter. Nor on the thread nor thru pm. At least there was no pisstake coming from the odd player. He was silent & didn't chat much back as maybe he fingers hurt too much from playing a hardcore level but u can say the atmosphere was a kind of peaceful fair sport-event. I hope he diddn't regreat having played with me on a serious level.

Friday, 21 dec, I was pleased to meet Ricoo & Gravitron again. Along with them i meet 2 or 3 people too. One of them was a dutch guy too. So Ricoo wasn't alone by playing Tron 2.0 in Holland. He anyways wasn't alone thanks to his girlfriend....u know what i mean. However it awas fun we made some dirty jokes with changing names to provocate each other but that all was for the sake of a good laugher. Nothing offensive in the air.
Mainly it was a Day or Evening with Disc Arena. The whole list of players would be:
After the DA pleasure i played with OGCAvenager907NL who seemed to chat as funny as Void or Dutchkim. However he played like an expert & pinged much lower as me on one of Mr.Andersons server. Sadly i got tired after 15 minutes Light Cycles. It was not because i coudn't get used with the latency there rather the fact that Gravitron this time played better then the last time. So therefore i lost a noticeable amount of energy as i'm 30 & no more 26 when i started to play Tron 2.0 back then. However i was satisfied with the fact that at least a few people signalized me some willing to attent with me the gamegrid more than just once per month. With & when this results are going to repeat every weekend from now on i'm pretty confident we will get at the activty level we had before beginning of 2007 back. To think of we could get all the 1000 players back wouldn't be realistic for the following reasons:
a) alot of the demoplayers in 2003 didn't even bought the game & i still miss alot of former nicks that i probably could remember them &
b) alot of drama & missfortune happened during the 2004 until summer 2007. I don't want to become a fortune teller. I want stay realistic before i would dare to give high hopes & then dissapoint there after to the hopeful people when my forecasts wouldn't come true.
Aslong as i feel people want to play & care for the lack of activity on the gamegrid it will remain the so called "little club" but hopefully soon including those too, who have now an excuse to keep away themselves from the gamegrid, thanks by developing the killer-mod or some map. Afther finishing the killer-app-mod we wish them ready for real action on the grid. U know betatesting suit for little kids in kindergarden aswell. I hope this will take an provocativ effect on them.

This is a nice news Jademz. That will be an interesting experiment to see if even for 2 or 4 players it would feel better. But i'm sure it matters for a full house. However i will visiting the gamegrid today at my evning. As i didn't slept well the last nite (from saturday to sunday) i can't promise if could hold it until midnite (utc).

hey just to add to the point on the game grid not being dead, i say a wee little 2-match old guy called Xavar. he hadnt recently got the game but had only started playing it recently. i directed him to show him the ropes and whatnot (damn im that that too now... damn you jade!). since new players are a rare fruit, lets make him feel at home
Perhaps it would be wise that all "real" newcomers should give to themselves a tag to their nick such [new]. And what's the point of this ? Very simple...just think of the guys with the standard default nicks such...programm or programma (depends on the version of language they have in their Tron 2.0) etc...
So be honest guys...it's realy suspect as we expierenced that many veterans have exploited the default nicks to hack on the nerves from people, to spy or trying some cheat etc... without a risk to get recognized by the Tron-people. And as this too often happened for me those who appear with default nicks are not serious further more suspect in my though, ...with their motives ...why they have appeared on the grid etc.. People with lesser Inside knowledge probably won't understand my concern but anways it wouldn't hurt to take a nick & then addon the tag for just a few seasons until the new buddy is known by us the regular players. I suppose when in other games reguardless if fps or roleplay games people are able to use the ingame-menu to fillin their nickname it indeed is a mystery why many players, who claimed to be newcomers but kept the default nick, failed to rename to a new one.
U know guyz...i realy don't want to piss off a REAL newcomer. I would be glad to meet new people & if i'm sure it's not a former comeback who hides in a noob-costume, i then don't feel kidded u know & it would help the opposite to reduce the degree of difficulty (gameplay) as the newcomer anyways might get overstrained as the gameplay in Tron 2.0 is abit different compared to other fps games. Ok Lightcycles...that's a gamemode for drivers who prefer fast racing games. Those only need then reflex & a talent for making fast a strategy. However it would be wise that all new players introduce first themselves somewhere within Ldso forum & then we know them & the tag wouldn't be neccesary if the guyz come online with the same nick as used on the forum. U know even activ players have so many nicks but when u play them u recognize them by time. So hiding is something not useful for a little community such this.
I hope ur friend won't give up early because many noobs don't push much & leave after just 1 or 2 lost maps. Only a real tron-fan can keep & focus to improve because then u get better u gain more fun from this. Many online games are there to compete but not to make wars.
