[LDSO] Tron 2.0 Forum

It may sound silly, but what's with adding a "Buy-Tron-Button" on the mainpage ? ...

I guess it's because we felt that having ads on the site was a bit "gimmicky". We'd prefer not to have ads. But, I suppose links to purchase the games might be a worthwhile exception? I'd be interested to hear what the other members of the LDSO team think of that idea.

I have no objections of putting a "buy tron" link on the homepage. We can have it go to Amazon, since there are a lot of options to buy there (new/used). Maybe i'll put a link up that says "Buy LOAD's copy of Evolution!". I made it to the first boss match and haven't played since

As for ads, we decided to not put ads on our site because it then looks so cluttered. Maybe we're missing on out a bunch of cash. If so, it may change. You know how it is. We put an ad on for Viagra or FreeCreditReport.com and then we get rich...then we all become divas...and the site loses it's focus. If we stay poor, it will always be about Tron 2.0 and not about the Benjamins! So, LDSO is all member supported. We of course, take donations. In fact, i'll be putting up the donation button back on the homepage, didn't realize it was gone!

Do you want to borrow my Amazon ad code, Load? I have ads for 2.0 and Evo on my blog. I also have an ad for Fraglesstees. Maybe we should include that, too?

As for donations, I'll soon have a bit of money to spare so I'll be sending some your way shortly to cover the site cost. I didn't donate last time, like I usually did. Yes, shame on me, I know. But I'm making up for it now.

Yeah, thats what i mean ... Well, not that large ...

I imagine you guys have seen this, but for at least the last month Tron 2.0 has been going for $50+ US new, it's apparently become a bit of a collectors item.

Yeah, probably because most people are disappointed with the way Evolution turned out. And now they're finding out about this other Tron game that they didn't even know existed.

I can confidently state that almost every review of Evo has compared it to 2.0, saying it's an inferior game to its predecessor. There are also a ton of comments from gamers saying "2.0 was way better". So it's not just us who think that.
