Sorry to bump this, but I just recently saw Prince Caspian, Disney's most recent film. Now, most of the movie was pretty good and had a lot of action kinda like TRON. However, the movie was not created by Disney, but rather by the Walden Media company.
But what really worried me about any of Disney's future movies (including TRON 2) was the beginning of this movie, and don't worry, this isn't too much of a spoiler:
Older girl: Something pinched my butt!
Younger girl: It feels like magic
*CGI EFFECTS*
*At a random beach*
Younger Girl: We're in Narnia! Let's swim in the ocean!
Then they get attacked by some random midget with a sword, and I was sitting through this whole thing with my jaw on the ground the whole time. The guy next to me was cracking up the whole time, and I was like wtf???
If stuff like that happens to be in "TRON 2", then I fear we may have a scene like this:
Programmer (about to be rezzed into the PC): What's that? It feels like magic!
*CGI EFFECTS*
*On some random beach*
Programmer: I'm in the computer! I'm going to swim!
*Gets attacked by some random guy in a TRON costume that comes out of nowhere.*
Mickey Mouse then appears and starts rapping about Narnia junk.
Sounds about right if they keep that kind of junk up, lol.
Of course, the director has done some pretty dark game commercials (Halo 3 and Gears of War, specifically). We may have some hope!
