So you're probably wondering why I posted this in a Tron forum section, rather than in the Off-Topic section. I'll get to that in a moment.

Disney has decided to create a new division, that will sort through all the various Star Wars EU, spin-offs, etc. and establish what's canon, and what isn't.
This is a really good idea. It's something that Paramount already did a long time ago, with Star Trek. New Star Trek material is checked against the previous continuity, to make sure that it doesn't contradict what's already been established.
As you can probably guess: I wish Disney would do something similar for Tron. They don't have to create an entirely new division, but it would have been nice if they'd taken enough care to ensure that all Tron materials play nice and don't contradict each other. Rather than just flippantly declaring anything except Tron Legacy's version of events is now canon.
When I take everything released for Tron so far, into account: Tron, Tron 2.0, Tron: Ghost in the Machine, Tron Betrayal, Tron Legacy, Tron Evolution, Tron Uprising (and that's not even everything) . . . keeping story details straight has been sloppily handled, and a number of these contradict each other.
Again, I know that Kosinski has declared anything but Tron Legacy and the orignal Tron film as pretty much non-canon, or at least secondary. But, that was the lazy way out.
