Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
Maybe someone knows the answer, but it's been a long time, but wasn't the soundtrack posted before? I found this story on the blog; Epcot 82 stating it's the FIRST and ONLY release of the Tron 2.0 soundtrack?

Official soundtrack, yes, but quite honestly, if you open the .WAV files from DEdit via iTunes, you can convert them or just listen to them, and viola! expanded soundtrack! It's a good way to listen to them when you're trying to figure out what sounds and music to include in a map.

Re: Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
I created a Tron 2.0 soundtrack FIVE YEARS AGO. So this chap definitely doesn't have dibs on "World's First release".

The method I used was a lot easier than manually piecing all the track snippets together.

Re: Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
Here's the soundtrack I put together.
http://ldso.net/tronfaq/other/TRON%202. ... dtrack.zip
His soundtrack has all the same themes as mine, but his is a little more haphazardly put together while mine is in order. He also doesn't have the official Tron 2.0 web site theme.
And while it's neat that he put in some extra music, I don't know what they have to do with Tron 2.0. He's even got a track from Legacy in there. Huh? Is he prepared for the Disney cease-and-desist when they find out?
At this point I don't think Disney gives two s.h.i.t.s about 2.0, though. So posting the soundtrack now should be fine.

Re: Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
I just discovered a comment on that fellow's page today. Was that you, Load?
And I can't believe I didn't notice this before. He's listed himself as "Executive Producer" on the soundtrack. The nerve of this guy!
It's one thing to credit yourself for compiling the soundtrack, but to give oneself such an inflated title is just ridiculous.

He responded to your comment, X. Nice bafflegab answer from him. "Well mine is artistic and qualitative rather than more forensic and quantitative". What the hell does that even mean?
He just doesn't want to acknowledge that he can't lay claim to being the first.
Frankly, I don't care one way or the other. But it's the title he gave himself that has me rolling my eyes. I'm sure Nathan Grigg would appreciate knowing that this guy is his "Executive Producer" for the Tron 2.0 soundtrack.

Re: Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
Do you want to know a funny thing?
I listened the 2.0 musics at night while I tried to write something, it was a few days ago... and I listened that part when Jet is on the internet.
If you open the "City Hub - Part 2" from TronFAQ's soundtrack, a man talks at 0:08 (and later repeats a part of it).
He says: Kérem szíveskedjenek vigyázni, az ajtók záródnak.
It's Hungarian, and it's probably from Budapest (capital city) from the metro or the tram. It's a warning for people that they will close the doors.
I think if I wouldn't listen it when I wrote on my mother language then I would never notice it.

Re: Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
I think you're right! I couldn't understand what was being said, so I thought maybe it was just random chanting that wasn't supposed to make any sense. But now that you mentioned that it was being spoken in Hungarian and provided the words, it makes sense now.phoenixphlox wrote:If you open the "City Hub - Part 2" from TronFAQ's soundtrack, a man talks at 0:08 (and later repeats a part of it).

Re: Tron 2.0 Soundtrack
I remember following FAQ's directions to make that music disk all those years ago. Unfortunately, I cut a few tracks too long and it just barely *didn't* fit on a CD. I thought I'd lost them, but I just checked and they are still in my "TRON Dev" folder in My Docs. I'm downloading FAQ's version though, as I'm sure I'll be able to make the portable version to play in my car as I've always wanted.
