As for why the site was taken down. There are games which have not sold as well as the publisher hoped, that still have web sites. I think the reason the site was taken down, is because Disney didn't want to interact with customers any more. Fans of Tron 2.0 were particularly vocal and critical of BVG/Disney.
Notice that Tron Evolution did not have any kind of official discussion forum this time around, unlike Tron 2.0. Companies like Disney just want to shove product out the door and take your money. They don't want to interact with their customers, and don't care about what they think. Unless it's rabid, fanatical praise which can help sell their game, that is. If fans say one of their games is crap, or a game was good but the support was crap, then they go into denial mode and don't want to hear it.
